My name is Mia Tisdel, it's very nice to meet you.

At first glance in the world of massage, I was drawn to the relaxation side of touch. However, as I studied, the world of injuries and recovery took a hold of my heart and ran off with it... I still haven't gotten my heart back yet.

Individualized care in the comfort of your own home is the motto for a reason. Your time and your comfort is important. Every session is centered around your current needs. Migraine? I'll bring my ice stones. Stressful week? Thank goodness I brought the essential oils. Joint replacement? Let's get you moving. Surgery? Let's work that scar tissue. Did you pull something? Tweak something? Sleep wrong? Fall? Twist? Slump? Cramp?

Whatever your individual needs, I am here to help facilitate the healing of soft tissue injuries and help you manage your chronic pain so you can live your best life!

Who's Mia?: About

Who I Am and What I Do

I graduated from Cortiva after completing their extended course that included extra classes and hands-on time. After working for a short while here in Washington, my life moved me to Virginia where I had the beautiful opportunity to work at Pinto Chiropractic and Rehabilitation. This chiro and rehab center helped mold my skills in the world of injuries (sports and auto accident focused), postural analysis and athletic recovery. During this time I also had the opportunity to work with a team of local dancers as the massage therapist in their injury prevention team. All of this really solidified my passion for assisting the healing process of what ails the bodies of those around us.

When life moved me back to Seattle, I continued my injury treatment work throughout the city while continuing to feed my thirst for knowledge through continuing education. Now settled in and performing massage for those with insurance at a local clinic, I decided to branch out and provide massage for those who are looking for care at home.

My style changes based on your needs, however I am often described as deep and slow, with a lot of positive reinforcement, stretches and a kick-butt music playlist. I tend to use all different types of styles in my sessions however I am knowledgeable with Swedish, Myofascial, Sports, Injury Treatment and Rehabilitation, Spa Therapies, Structural Bodywork and Ice Stone for those suffering from migraines.
